Carl Davis Collection to be launched at BAFTA
The Carl Davis Collection has been created to support Carl’s many and varied works. The first releases will be new recordings of Alice in Wonderland, the soundtrack to The Understudy, the ballet Cyrano and the soundtrack to Cranford (BBC 2007).
Some of Carl Davis’ other writing successes include The World at War (Thames (1973); Hollywood (Thames 1980); Goodnight Mr Tom (ITV 1999); Pride and Prejudice (BBC 1996) and his ballet Aladdin (Naxos). His feature films include The French Lieutenant’s Woman and Ken Russell’s The Rainbow.
Carl also has written scores for many silent films including Napoleon.
