Andreas Delfs joins Hazard Chase

Hazard Chase is delighted to announce general management of Andreas Delfs, Music Director of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor of the Honolulu Symphony.

In addition to his present positions, Andreas Delfs has appeared as a guest conductor with a wide range of major orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Frankfurt Radio Symphony, Berlin Radio Symphony, London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, Zurich Tonhalle, Netherlands Philharmonic, Sydney Symphony and NHK Symphony. Previous posts include five years as General Music Director of Hannover, Germany, with responsibility for the Opera and Symphony Orchestra and five years with the St Paul Chamber Orchestra. Notable operatic engagements have included New York City Opera, Aspen Music Festival and Württemberg State Theatre, Stuttgart.
 
A continuing commitment to contemporary music, going back to his student days at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City has resulted in associations with John Corigliano, Philip Glass, Lowell Liebermann, Luciano Berio, György Ligeti, Hans Werner Henze and others.
