Faust releases Beethoven disc

Isabelle Faust's recently released recording of the Beethoven sonatas with Alexander Melnikov has been chosen by The Sunday Times as this week's CD of the Week. Critic Hugh Canning praised the artists' use of period instrument performance influences to "blow off the cobwebs of tradition" with "exhilarating playing".
