Barbara Frittoli joins Hazard Chase

Hazard Chase is delighted to announce the UK representation of Barbara Frittoli.  She is acknowledged as the leading Italian lirico-spinto soprano of her generation.  She is celebrated internationally for her distinguished interpretations of the great Mozart roles including the Contessa, Fiordiligi, Donna Anna, Donna Elvira and Elettra as well as several Verdi roles including Desdemona, Alice Ford, Amelia in Boccanegra and Elisabetta in Don Carlos.  She sings regularly at La Scala, the Metropolitan New York, Covent Garden, Paris Opera and the Vienna State Opera with all the leading conductors in including Abbado, Levine, Maazel, Mackerras, Mehta, Muti, Noseda and Pappano.  She scored a great personal success as Suor Angelica at the Metropolitan Opera in 2007 and will return to La Scala in the same role in March 2008 with Chailly.  She has made acclaimed appearances at the Edinburgh and Salzburg Festivals and the BBC Promenade concerts.  She is also a highly praised concert and recital singer and is particulary admired for her performances of Verdi's Requiem.
