James Gilchrist releases long-awaited Schubert songcycle

Acclaimed British concert tenor James Gilchrist recently released his new recording of Die Schöne Müllerin with pianist Anna Tilbrook on Orchid Classics. Gilchrist Mullerin

Recently described as “one of the brightest lights on the oratorio circuit” by The Independent, James is in high demand as a tenor soloist for a wide range of works across the choral repertoire. He is also an accomplished lieder singer, and has recently performed in recitals at the Presteigne, Lichfield, Salisbury and Chelsea Fesivals. Forthcoming engagements include On Wenlock Edge with the Endellion String Quartet at the Leeds Lieder Festivals, Haydn Seasons and Creation with the Monteverdi Choir on tour in the USA, Theodora at The Sage, Gateshead and Schubert Schwanengesang at the Oxford Lieder Festival.
