Koh debuts in Milan

Jennifer Koh will make her debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi this week, replacing Leila Josefowicz at just a few days’ notice. Koh will perform the Beethoven Violin Concerto with the orchestra’s Music Director, Xian Zhang at Auditorium di Milano on June 10th and 11th at 8pm, and on the afternoon of Saturday June 12th at 4pm.

Koh then returns to the States for performances of Szymanowski Concerto No.1 with the National Symphony Orchestra, following her acclaimed Kennedy Center recital last month. Elsewhere this season she has made her BBC Proms debut (UK premiere of Augusta Read Thomas’ concerto Juggler in Paradise), performed Brahms with the New Jersey Symphony and given recitals for the Schubert Music Club, Saint Paul; Philadelphia Chamber Music Society; San Francisco Performances; and Miller Theatre, New York.
