Charity gala concert for Lenny Trusler Children's Foundation

Matthew Trusler, Martin Roscoe and Michael Collins will appear alongside comedian Michael McIntyre and actor Tom Conti at Cadogan Hall in London on Wednesday 1st December 2010, in a gala concert to raise funds for the Lenny Trusler Children’s Foundation.

Violinists Matthew Trusler and Maya Koch, who are both performing on the night, created the Lenny Trusler Children's Foundation in 2007 after the death of their baby son from a very rare kidney disease. The Foundation, which they launched to help provide relief of serious illness in newborn babies and infants, raises money through many musical projects, including a forthcoming album of music and children's poems read by actors including Clive Owen and Danny DeVito. The LTCF recently announced the successful completion of its first two missions; the opening of a new Family Room at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Whittington Hospital in north London where Lenny was born, and a new SiPAP machine to provide babies with non-invasive ventilatory support.

In his special role of auctioneer, Michael McIntyre will be encouraging audience members at the gala evening to bid for a range of items, in order to raise money for the purchase of a life-saving new incubator at the Whittington Hospital, at a cost of £30,000. Auction items, which include an Arsenal FC pennant signed by the team and a private tour of the Roald Dahl Museum followed by tea at the author's home, are shortly to appear on the Foundation's website for guests to view and bid on ahead of the gala evening. People are also urged to come along and show their support by sharing in the merriment of the evening, with no obligation to participate in the bidding.

James Brown, Managing Director of Hazard Chase, comments “we have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Matthew and we are now partners in Orchid Music, so he is very much part of the Hazard Chase family. I have the greatest admiration for the way he and Maya have turned their personal tragedy into something so positive and I am delighted that we can support him in this latest venture”.
