Olli Mustonen joins Hazard Chase

Highly regarded as a pianist for his brilliant technique and startling originality and, similarly, as a conductor for his visionary interpretation, Olli Mustonen has made his mark in all the world’s musical capitals, including Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Paris, New York, Tokyo and Vienna.

Upcoming engagements as soloist include the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris and Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. As a conductor, he appears this season with the Bern Symphony Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, with whom he embarks upon a complete cycle of Beethoven piano concerti as soloist / director.

He has also recorded a wide-ranging collection of repertoire for Ondine of Prokofiev, Sibelius, Bach, Shostakovich, Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.  He has just completed recording all the Beethoven Piano Concerti as soloist / director with Tapiola Sinfonietta.
