Hazard Chase has strong presence at the 2007 BBC Proms in the Park
We are proud to announce that Hazard Chase is being represented by a number of major artists in four out of the five BBC Proms in the Park on 8th September 2007.
Carl Davis, a recent addition to our conductors list, will be conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra in the main Proms in the Park in London’s Hyde Park. Carl will be joined by soprano, Lesley Garrett and tenor, Juan Diego Florez along with the Young Musician of the Year, Mark Simpson, clarinet. The Prom is being presented by Terry Wogan and there will be live links throughout the evening with the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
Grant Llewellyn will be conducting the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales in Swansea for their annual Proms in Park. Grant will conduct the orchestra in a varied programme until the orchestra links up with other venues around the country and the Royal Albert Hall for the Proms traditional finale. Grant will be joined by Aled Jones who will present the Prom for the BBC.
Giselle Allen, soprano, is this year, performing at the Carrickfergus Proms in the Park in Northern Ireland. Giselle will be performing alongside an array of performers including Alfie Boe, tenor, Alison Balsom, trumpet, Dermot Dunne, classical accordion, Beoga and Paul Young and Patrick McCarthy, fanfare trumpeters. Giselle will be singing with the Ulster Orchestra under the direction of Kenneth Montgomery.
Finally, Jamie MacDougall will be presenting the Glasgow Proms in the Park alongside Sally Magnusson. Jamie will be presenting a Scottish influenced programme including performances by Jonathan Lemalu, bass baritone and Julian Lloyd Webber, cello, along with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, directed by Robert Ziegler.
