John Willan elected to Royal Academy Board

John Willan, chairman of Hazard Chase, has been elected to the board of governors of the Royal Academy of Music.  He said, "I am honoured and delighted to have been elected to this position and excited about being involved in helping this important institution achieve its aims and objectives.  It is vital today that these centres of excellence thrive and prosper and I will do everything I can to support its endeavours."

In response, Jonathan Freeman-Attwood, Principal said:

"I am delighted that John Willan has been elected to the Academy’s Governing Body. If an institution is to flourish, it must seek in its governance distinguished and experienced figures in a broad and balanced range of skills and backgrounds. John has made a huge contribution to the arts whether at EMI, the LPO or BBC – and most recently Hazard Chase. His profound knowledge of the profession will provide an important source of guidance and advice for the senior management team as we move the Academy forward."
