New Yates recordings receive great critical acclaim

Martin Yates' series of recordings of the works of Richard Arnell continues at the start of this season with the release of a recording with the BBC Concert Orchestra of two ballets by Richard Arnell (The Great Detective and The Angels, Dutton CD7208). A composer in his own right, Dutton have also recently released recordings of Yates' works for flute and piano with Anna Noakes and Caroline Palmer (CD7210). Dutton's releases with Yates later this season will include Arnell's First and Sixth symphonies and his Sinfonia Quasi Variazioni with the RSNO, with whom he has also recently recorded a disc of vioin concertos featuring violinist Lorraine McAslam performing works by Guirne Creith, Thomas Pitfield and Richard Arnell.
