Armonico Consort Touring Opera

Armonico Consort Touring Opera was formed in 2005 by the Armonico Consort, and has made an enormous impact already. Their high quality, fully staged opera productions have so far included Purcell's Fairy Queen and King Arthur, as well as a highly original version (with a new libretto by Kit Hesketh Harvey) of Mozart's Magic Flute.  Festivals visited in 2007 include Norfolk and Norwich, Brighton, Buxton, Chelsea, Barbican Mostly Mozart and Warwick.  Plans for 2008 and beyond include new productions of a double bill of Purcell Dido & Aeneas with Lully Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme and Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, both directed by Michael MacCaffery and with new scripts by Kit Hesketh Harvey.

"...It is often said that this is an ideal introduction to opera, but I've seldom seen children as enchanted..." The Independent, January 2007
