Masaaki Suzuki appears at the Olavsfestdagene for their 2017 festival to conduct the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra in Bach’s Lutheran Mass and Telemann’s Die Auferstehung und Himmefahrt Jesu on Sunday 30 July. The orchestral performance, held in the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, marks Suzuki’s most northerly performance to date. He makes a second festival appearance on 1 August in a solo recital of organ works by J.S. Bach.
Joining Suzuki and the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra are soprano Joanne Lunn, mezzo Marianne Beate Kielland, tenor Andrew Staples and bass Christian Immler.
