Artist in Residence
Henning Kraggerud is the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra’s Artist in Residence in the 18/19 season.
In four concerts across the season, Henning will be featured as both concerto soloist and play/director. He will begin by joining newly appointed Chief Conductor Nathalie Stutzmann in her season opening concert, playing Tchaikovsky’s much-loved violin concerto. Then, he will join conductor Bjarte Engeset to perform the long-lost violin concerto by fellow Norwegian, Johan Halvorsen (read more about that here), before returning on Valentine’s Day for a programme including Mozart and Dvorak. Finally, Henning play/directs the orchestra in a performance of his own work, Equinox for violin and chamber orchestra.
