Conductor Masaaki Suzuki is in Paris this week to conduct two concerts with L’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Commencing with Mendelssohn’s effervescent Midsummer Night’s Dream Overture and concluding with his Symphony No. 4 “Italian”, Suzuki is joined by harpist Xavier de Maistre for both concerts to play Haydn’s Concerto for Harp and Orchestra in D Major. Suzuki is conducting a performance in Paris on April 27th, which is due to broadcast on France Musique on May 3rd at 8pm. This concert is preceded by a performance in Soissons on April 26th.
