Conductor Andrew Litton joins the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the Ravinia Festival for a performance on Saturday 13th July. The programme includes Ravel and Stravinsky, plus an all-Gershwin second half featuring pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet performing Gershwin’s fourth piano concerto.
Litton is widely regarded as an authority on Gershwin, having extensively recorded and performed his works both as a pianist and conductor, including conducting the Covent Garden premiere of Porgy and Bess.
