British Trumpeter, Matilda Lloyd, makes her U.S. debut this month in the Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s opening concert of the season. Matilda will perform the virtuosic Arutiunian Trumpet Concerto conducted by Music Director Alexander Mickelthwate.

The performance on 14th September at the Thelma Gaylord Performing Arts Theatre, Oklahoma City, follows a performance at Southwestern Oklahoma State University on 13th September.

Whilst in Oklahoma, Matilda will give masterclasses for the brass students of Oklahoma University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

The following week Matilda travels to Bavaria to make her German debut as part of the Klanglandschaft Mainfranken Festival. Matilda will perform the world premiere of Stephan Adams’ The Trumpet Shall Sound alongside the Süddeutsche Kammerchor.

These performances mark the start of a busy season for Matilda, with a further debut in South Africa for the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic and Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestras later this year.
