The young violinist Callum Smart will perform with the Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra this Sunday 2nd December after Nicola Benedetti unfortunately had to withdraw. Callum will be playing Chausson Poeme along with Vaughan-Williams The Lark Ascending amidst a concert filled with Christmas classics such as Delius Sleigh Ride and Prokofiev Lieutenant Kijé. Currently a pupil at Chethams school, Callum’s home town is Royal Tunbridge Wells where he is already well known to both orchestra and audience. He will also be joining them later in 2013 to perform Britten’s Violin Concerto in D minor.
