Conductor Masaaki Suzuki returns to the States this week to conduct the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in three concerts at the Benaroya Hall. Joined by soloists Joanne Lunn, Roxana Constantinescu, Lawrence Wiliford and Morgan Smith for performances of Mozart’s Requiem, an edition completed by Masato Suzuki, the programme commences with Takemitsu’s Requiem for String Orchestra and Hartmann’s Concerto funebre, with concertmaster Noah Geller. Suzuki will conduct performances on 17th, 19th and 20th October.

Following this, Suzuki is conducting the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra with soloists Carolyn Sampson, Joanne Lunn, Zachary Wilder and Dashon Burton in two performances of Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor. Beginning with Haydn’s Symphony No. 48 ‘Maria Theresia’, the concerts take place on 9th and 10th November at Powell Hall.
