Nathan Meltzer presents a recital with pianist Jessica Xylina Osborne at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA this Friday 15th November.

The concert represents the return home of the Ames-Totenberg Stradivarius violin, which Meltzer plays. The violin belonged to renowned teacher Roman Totenberg, former Director of Longy (1978-85), and was stolen from his office there in 1980. Missing for 35 years, it was recovered in 2015 by the FBI and sold to an anonymous benefactor. It is now on long-term loan to Meltzer by the Rare Violins In Consortium programme.

Meltzer and Osborne perform music by Bach, Beethoven, Bartok, Frank, Wienawski and Szymanowski, to include works which Totenberg championed throughout his career.
