US conductor Tito Muñoz, Music Director of The Phoenix Symphony, has returned to France, where he works for the first time with the Orchestre National d’Île de France.

Touring the region in a total of eight concerts, including at Paris’ renowned Philharmonie, the musicians are joined by violinist Caroline Goulding for performances of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto. The programme also includes Guillaume Connesson’s Eiréné and Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, a piece which Tito most recently performed when he stepped in at short notice with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Jalisco in Mexico. Following his tour with ONDIF Tito travels to the UK where he returns to Belfast for a performance with the Ulster Orchestra, featuring Kodaly’s Dances of Marosszék, Bartok’s Piano Concerto No. 3, performed by Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8.
